The POP Shop for fashion waste reduction

The POP Shop for fashion waste reduction

Our fashion waste reduction initiative, The POP shop, was open throughout the month of June.

So here is how the idea of The POP shop came about. Our very own Stefania, while helping her sister clean out her wardrobe realised a lot of the clothes marked to be disposed of were still of good quality and some even had tags from when they were bought and never worn. She soon figured out a lot of people also face similar issues and this brought the idea of the POP shop (POP being Previously Owned Project), a curated pop-up sale of pre-loved or never worn items from select closets.

Prices for items went for as low as 10ghc making it easy for everyone to get something. And any sale that was made was given as store credit or cash to the participants.

The POP Shop as a brand fulfils our sustainability goals and fashion waste reduction initiative to help give clothes a second life and keep more clothes out of landfills.
